The final quarter-final of the European Championships takes place on Sunday. Can the surprise package of the tournament Iceland continue to dumbfound us all or will hosts France crush the dreams of the Vikings?

3.7. 20:00 FRANCE - ICELAND

Iceland. What are you supposed to say about a team like this. Their fantastic battle for survival culminated in the 2-1 victory in the round of 16 over England, despite most people believing that they would bow out in the group stages. Now they've reached the quarter-finals, and their story slightly mirrors the events of Euro 2004, when Greece came out of nowhere and produced one of the biggest surprises in major tournament history.

France will be the Icelanders' toughest test yet. The win over England was a fantastic demonstration of their defensive discipline, as their solid performance frustrated the English to submission. They will treat the French just the same, except that France's attacking play has been far more convincing than England's at Euro 2016.

France just managed to beat Ireland 2-1 in the round of 16, despite being 1-0 down right from the start due to a goal from the spot by Ireland. This was an apt test for the French, and they showed great spirit in coming from behind to win under immense pressure from the home crowd. The first half was a bad performance, but in the second half there was only one team on the pitch, and that team was France. That battle of a performance surely means that confidence will be sky-high in the French camp, and the game showed that they have what it takes to perform under intense pressure.

We've gathered the best odds for betting on Iceland - is there any point not betting on them anymore!

Iceland's defence will be in for a tough test, but the same can be said for the French attack. France will have to give it their all if they are to find any room between the tight defensive lines of Iceland, and at the same time they will have to be wary of Iceland's clinical counter-attacks and set-pieces. It's astounding how many quality scoring opportunities Iceland are able to create compared to the amount attacks they have per match. They might be lacking in terms of amount, but in quality they are more than threatening.

Iceland come into the match with no major absentees, although they have had one less day of rest compared to their opponents. France will have to make due without their midfield enforcer N'Golo Kanté, who will sit out the match because of his total of yellow cards. Centre-back Adil Rami will also be side-lined for the same reason. Yohan Cabaye will most likely replace Kante, while Eliaquim Mangala will step into Rami's shoes. This means that France aren't quite at full strength.

Iceland are the only team alongside Wales who have scored in their every match at the Euros. France are extremely tough opponents, but as the Vikings have already shown, they don't fear anyone. If Iceland can grab an opening goal France could be in big trouble. If there's something that's sure, Iceland won't roll over without a fight.

France at Euro 2016:

26.6. France - Ireland 2-1

19.6. Switzerland - Franc 0-0

15.6. France - Albania 2-0

10.6. France - Romania 2-1

Iceland at Euro 2016:

27.6. England - Iceland 1-2

22.6. Iceland - Austria 2-1

18.6. Iceland - Hungary 1-1

14.6. Portugal - Iceland 1-1

Iceland will have to defend for their lives for most of the match, but it shouldn't be forgotten how clinical they've been on the counter and from set-pieces, especially throw-ins. This match has potential for more goals than the rest of the quarter-finals when you just focus on the names of the two teams. France are naturally massive favourites to progress, but Iceland have the mental edge. With all the pressure on France, the match could turn out a bit damp. The odds tempt us to go for an Icelandic success yet again. Iceland +1,5 is the best idea for betting, as even a France win by one goal counts as a win!
